TSA does not give "rides" as such, but it does give
trial flights to persons who are interested in experiencing what soaring involves
and in joining TSA. A trial flight lasts approximately 20 minutes.
As only members may fly at TSA, a person having a trial flight must become a
Temporary Member of TSA. See the application form (in the "Join TSA" section of
the website) which sets out the terms of TSA temporary membership. Temporary
membership entitles the applicant to membership of TSA for a day, use of member
facilities, and one trial flight. The cost is $100 payable at the time by cash or check.
Application forms are available at the gliderport -- there is no need to download one in advance.
TSA, operating as a club on a first come-first served basis, does not schedule flights
in advance. However, normally it is possible to quote an approximate time for a trial flight
when there should be little delay.
